Aim FLIGHT 602. Atic The return of the much loved British solo act. For this, his third studio album, following on from 2001’s hit record HINTERLAND, FLIGHT 602 brings back Aim’s trademark Americana sound.
FLIGHT 602 has seen a marked improvement in the composition of Andy Turner’s music; he has sampled to a greater depth, creating catchy break based rhythms that maintain a high quality throughout the album - so no need to track skip here… Although I don’t think you’ll be hearing them on a night out, FLIGHT 602 has a more grown-up feel to it than some of his earlier work. I found it very hard to select individual tracks that define this album, it holds together so well as a whole. Ultimately it’s another solid effort from Aim, and if you’re a fan you’ll enjoy this one. The is an album that will have you nodding away and tapping your feet, wherever it may be you choose to take ‘aim.’ As well as releasing this album Andy Turner is also producing label mate Niko’s forthcoming album.
