Written throughout 2023 as the band toured the world, the album documents the dance floors they encountered. DANCE, NO ONE’S WATCHING is an album that musically guides you through a night out in the city, from the opening of possibilities as a new evening spans out ahead, to dawn’s final hours as the night comes to a close. Recorded at Abbey Road studios, the band was surprised by a group of close friends and family, turning the sessions into a live communal celebration of love, music, and dancing. On the release of DANCE, NO ONE’S WATCHING, the band remark: “DANCE, NO ONE’S WATCHING is a statement of freedom.” “We live in a world which has become a big performance. Whether it’s your phone, or in society in general, we have lost the ability to just be ourselves. There’s a constant desire for approval from other people.” “This record is a statement that you can be who you want to be, regardless of what’s around you, regardless of what people are saying, because on a deeper level - no one is watching. Don’t let the judgement of someone else steal your joy.” “Focus on being yourself. Who you’re called to be. And when you achieve that, that’s the moment you will start to experience true joy.” Ezra Collective kicked off their summer with a sold-out performance at the British Library’s Beyond the Bassline exhibition, followed by a show at Central Park’s SummerStage in New York. Fans will have the chance to experience the band’s award-winning discography and new material throughout their upcoming 25-date tour, which includes an historic night at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on November 15th as they become the first UK Jazz act to headline.
