SimpleMinds: Here, There & Everywhere!

Hailed by millions as one of the best “live” rock’n'roll bands in the world, Simple Minds are pleased to announce the UK leg of their forthcoming “Graffiti Soul” World Tour. The UK concerts will take in seven dates, and will dovetail the highly anticipated release of Simple Minds’ 15th studio album “Graffiti Soul“, released on May 25th. Simple Minds will perform songs from the new Graffiti Soul album including the single “Rockets“, plus new classics including “Stars Will Lead The Way“, “Moscow Underground“, “Light Travels“, “Kiss and Fly”, and “This Is It“.

Simple Minds will also perform classic hits from their vast catalogue including the albums Life in a Day (1979), Reel To Reel Cacophony (1979), Empires & Dance (1980), Sons & Fascination (1980), New Gold Dream (1982), Sparkle in the Rain (1984), Once Upon A Time (1985), Street Fighting Years (1989) and beyond.

Classic songs will include I Travel, Love Song, Promised You A Miracle, Sanctify Yourself, Glittering Prize, Alive and Kicking, Waterfront, Don’t You (Forget About Me), Up On The Cat Walk, Speed Your Love To Me and many more.

Over the years Simple Minds have notched up twenty Top 20 hits in a career spanning nearly three decades. The band have sold over 35 million records, had five number one albums, a No. 1 single in America - plus three American top ten singles and were voted Q magazine’s World’s Best Live Act.

Throughout their illustrious 31-year career in music, Simple Minds have embarked on countless sold out stadium tours including headlining three times at Wembley stadium. Their music has influenced a new generation of bands including The Killers, Kings of Leon, Muse, Bloc Party, Keane, Moby, and the Manic Street Preachers.

“We are very excited to announce the UK leg of the Graffiti Soul tour,” says lead singer and founding member, Jim Kerr. “Graffiti Soul is one of our most powerful albums to date. The new songs have an undeniable rock and roll edge and immediacy to them and we can’t wait to perform them live!”

“Last year we were blown away by the reaction from last year’s 30th Anniversary concerts,” reflects Kerr. “Simple Minds continues to embody an uplifting musical spirit and enthusiasm that was evident in our early work. We haven’t lost our edge. If anything, we’ve refined it! We can’t wait to perform the songs from Graffiti Soul as well as songs from our previous albums.”

As part of the Graffiti Soul tour, Simple Minds are proud to announce OMD as their very special guests. Jim Kerr said “Particularly in these times it is vitally important for us to give as much value to our audience as possible. Playing a full set of hits and other surprises, I know that OMD will contribute so much towards making each of these shows into memorable events!” Between them both, Simple Minds and OMD have sold 75 million albums worldwide as well as chalking up over 40 hit singles.”
