New album released September 7, 2009

Rodrigo y Gabriela will release new studio album ‘11:11′ on Rubyworks on Monday, 7 September 2009.

‘11:11′ was recorded in Ixtapa, Mexico. The album has been produced by Rodrigo y Gabriela, with John Leckie co-producing one of the tracks. The album was mixed in Wales and London by Colin Richardson, best known for his work with Slipknot and Trivium.

Comprising 11 new self-written compositions, ‘11:11′ is Rod & Gab’s personal ‘gracias’ to a first XI of musicians, both past and present, who have inspired them along the way. Alex Skolnick, of metal gods Testament, guests on the album, as do widely respected acoustic veterans Strunz & Farah.

‘11:11′ is the long-awaited follow-up to 2006’s ‘Rodrigo y Gabriela’, which has so far enjoyed worldwide sales in excess of half a million albums.

4 - ‘Logos’ - inspired by jazz-rock master Al Di Meola
5 - ‘Santo Domingo’ - inspired by jazz pianist and composer Michel Camilo
6 - ‘Master Maqui’ - inspired by Spanish guitar legend Paco De Lucia
7 - ‘Savitri’ - inspired by John McLaughlin and Zakir Hussian’s ground breaking 1970’s world fusion ensemble Shakti
8 - ‘Hora Zero’ - inspired by Argentine tango composer and bandoneon virtuoso Astor Piazzola.
9 - ‘Chac Mool’ - inspired by Jorge Reyes, the Mexican composer who combined traditional Mexican instrumentation with new technology. Reyes died in February 2009.
10 - ‘Atman’ - inspired by Dimebag Darrell, never to be forgotten lead guitarist in Pantera and Damageplan, who was tragically murdered onstage in 2004.
11 - ‘11:11′ - inspired by Pink Floyd.

RODRIGO y GABRIELA ANNOUNCE NOVEMBER UK TOUR

Following the release of their new album ‘11:11′ and their already sold-out show at Koko this September, Mexican acoustic rockers Rodrigo y Gabriela will return to Britain in November for their first UK tour since December 2007.

The instrumental magicians will bring their unique twin-guitar assault to the following venues:
