The Rules-Based System

Trump, Putin and Netanyahu governments break legal and international agreements and laws. Take Gaza for example. Hamas and Israel’s government agreed a Phase 1 peace deal to halt the fighting, return some hostages and allow aid into Gaza (amongst other conditions). With the first phase completed and Hamas having complied Israel have moved their deadly activities and destruction to the West Bank. Israel has also delayed talks on the second phase while cutting electricity supplies and stopping further aid. Israel has also announced new conditions including the freeing of all hostages immediately (encouraged no doubt by Trump’s threats to Hamas). By Trump siding with Israel’s war crimes and continuing to supply armaments he is effectively complicit in causing enormous suffering to all Palestinians including of course thousands of children. The same could be said for Trump’s support of Putin.

True or false, Trump will use any device to win, even feigning religious belief. While UK’s Prime Minister Starmer is avoiding at all costs direct criticism of Trump he ignores the immense suffering of the Palestinians - why hasn’t there been a debate on what is happening in Gaza? But people like Trump will always be found out and ultimately fail. Already the USA is suffering economically from Trump’s actions while, thus far. only Canada has been honest and forthright enough to openly criticise Trump and his daredevil policies.

Meanwhile the suffering and destruction continues aided and abetted by Trump and his acolytes while his ruling international friends continue to kill, injure and destroy with thousands being displaced and nowhere to go. The level of inhumanity is hard to believe.
