About The Tung Auditorium

The Tung Auditorium is the University of Liverpool’s state-of-the-art concert hall, designed for both teaching and live performance. Opened in 2022 and located within the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre, the 391-seat venue offers an outstanding acoustic experience and is gaining a reputation as a welcoming space to enjoy a wide variety of classical and contemporary music. Its inclusive, high-quality programme features internationally acclaimed artists, University of Liverpool students, and local favourites. The programme includes chamber, choral, and orchestral works, as well as jazz, folk, pop, electro-acoustic, and experimental music, and a popular free lunchtime concert series supported by Yoko Ono Lennon.

Partnerships with local and national organisations play a key role in shaping the programme, fostering creative collaboration across the region. With world-class teaching and learning at its heart, The Tung Auditorium reflects the University’s contribution to Liverpool’s cultural life. It provides student placements, graduate opportunities, and a platform for performance and artistic development.
