Young Monarch

Formed in 2015 at the Royal Northern College of Music, Young Monarch deliver an eclectic mix of ambient tones and influences steeped in soul music. Outfits as artistic and progressive as this 6 piece often run the risk of creating musical output which is nothing more than indulgent ramblings; not the case with Young Monarch. Airy vocal deliveries fused with a driving rhythm section and intricate strings create a sound that is unique.

White Sugar

Founded in 2013, White Sugar brings you the sonic love child of James Brown, The Bee-Gees and the Roots. Hailing from various corners of the globe, the 9 piece outfit met at the RNCM, cultivating their sound and provoking onlookers to embarrass themselves in dance related ways they could never previously imagined.

Diving Station

Diving Station is an alternative rock band made distinguishable by Sean Rogan’s individual guitar sound and Anna McLuckie’s Clarsach, an instrument which brings a folky edge to the ensemble. The four piece take influence from alternative and post rock bands such as Radiohead and Sigur Ros, as well as indie-folk sounds such as Bon Iver and Daughter.
