TRANSFORMERS Music From And Inspired By. Warner Brothers

One blockbuster movie deserves one blockbuster soundtrack, and here it is. And if you want to hear some of the best heavy rock tracks from some of the best bands around, taken from their newest albums, look no further.

The album opens with a stonking track from Linkin Park’s latest album, ‘What I’ve Done.’ Next is Smashing Pumpkins with the stunning opening track from the brand new album ZEITGEIST. And if you thought this was a pretty sharp opening gambit, the next track from Disturbed called ‘This Moment’ will have you reeling. Next up is a romantic interlude from The Goo Goo Dolls’. ‘Before It’s Too Late (Sam And Mikaela’s Theme)’ is arguably the best song from the band’s latest album and maintains the striking quality of what’s available on this soundtrack. Other contributors include The Used (‘Pretty Handsome Awkward’), HIM (‘Passion’s Killing Floor’), Taking Back Sunday (‘What’s It Feel Like To Be A Ghost’ – not in film), Styles Of Beyond (stunning rap song ‘Second To None’), Armur For Sleep (‘End Of The World’ – not in film), Idiot Pilot (‘Retina And The Sky’ – not in film), Julien-K (‘Technical Difficulties’) and Mutemath (‘Transformers Theme’ – not in film, so where’s the original theme?). Could this be the rock soundtrack of the year? I think so…
