Pigstock Festival, Denbigh, North Wales 24 July 2004 So what are you doing on Saturday 24th July? If you live within striking distance of Denbigh, North Wales (very close to Wrexham, Chester, Oswestry and other major conurbations), and you like your music live and eclectic, then I know where you should be. Pigstock is a friendly, accessible and quality annual music festival for the whole family with everything you need to have a great day out (including great weather - we hope).
This year’s artist line-up promises to be the best yet and includes the winner of Best Female Solo Artist in the annual Welsh Music Awards. I’ve seen Amy Wadge perform on a couple of occasions and rate her as one one of the best UK singer/songwriters to emerge in recent years.
Wadge is an inspirational live performer as well as being a very fine song writer. Last year she released her debut full-length album that we rated as one of the best albums of the year. No doubt festival-goers will be treated to several melodic and soulful songs from the album. She’ll be backed by the drummer from Catatonia and Eric Clapton band guitarist.
The rest of the lineup offers something for everybody and for just £10 this midday to midnight fest, complete with plentiful food and drink amenities, is fabulous value. I hope to see you there!
