Krazyhouse Live: 2010: The Return…

How many great music cities are there? America: L.A./New York? Australia: Sydney? Europe: Berlin? Ireland: Dublin?  UK: Liverpool: The city of the birth of rock ‘n’ roll, which lives on. In 2009 Geffen Records decided at last to finally put out on CD/DVD ‘Nirvana-Live At Reading’ considered by many as one of Nirvana’s Greatest ever gigs, its position in time is legendary, like The Beatles at Shea Stadium,The Stone Roses at Spike Island. In the ‘Kerrang!’ 100 Gigs Of All Time, Nirvana at Reading is regarded highly… HOWEVER… one place above it is ‘Stone Temple Pilots’ March 8th: 1993 @ Liverpool’s Krazyhouse!

So for a mythical and legendary concert to be upstaged by one in Liverpool is quite some feat… That it should be at one of the city’s best kept secrets is also some achievement…

For nearly 20 years The Krazyhouse has been at the forefront of all things Rock/Alternative. The list of artists that have played there is simply stunning: Moby, Korn, Stereophonics, Radiohead, Feeder, some of the biggest names in music have graced the stage at this venue…

Plenty of acts have played the Krazyhouse as opening unsigned acts. December 16th 1993: The Real People Headline, support Oasis/The Verve. November 22nd 1995 Bush headline, support Placebo

The list of acts continues with Super Furry Animals, The Wildhearts, Fear Factory, Terrorvision, The Divine Comedy, Shed Seven, Ocean Colour Scene, simply some of the best moments of music live anywhere in the world have happened in this venue… they were also the team behind big outdoor concerts in Sefton Park in Liverpool and Coopers Field in Cardiff which including amazing sold out events with SFA, Space, Catatonia and Dodgy

2010… The Krazyhouse once again enters the live arena. At the tail end of 2009 it began putting on low-key shows to get the whole ball rolling again, but now as the new decade dawns it’s time to move it up a gear… Wednesdays come alive in The Fudge/K4 Every Week with the ‘K-Sessions’… I got Friday on my mind…. so every Friday Night at The Krazyhouse Monthly is Live… Featuring the cream of Liverpool’s unsigned talent secured from the weekly ‘Sessions’, in association with Radio Merseyside’s ‘The Pool’ and hosted by Presenter/DJ Dave Monks

Agents and managers are being spoken to about signed acts also starting to once again come to this legendary venue. Limited dates in April and May (Month Of Liverpool Sound City) are available… The venue then heads of for the Summer months and embarks on the next chapter in the story of one of the greatest clubs in the world - This is Liverpool, This is The Krazyhouse…
