The promoters of Move at Lancashire Cricket Ground next week have been inundated with requests regarding childrens tickets for the return to the live scene of one of Britain’s most successful bands ever, Madness!

Madness have had more singles in the charts than any other band and, as their appearance at Move marks the 25th anniversary of their first single, it seems their popularity has now spanned two generations.

SJM Concerts, promoters of Move, are therefore offering a ‘Lads and Dads Special’!

EVERY ADULT THAT ATTENDS WILL BE ABLE TO BRING TWO KIDS 14 OR UNDER TOTALLY FREE OF CHARGE TO SEE MADNESS AND THE REST OF THE BILL!

The offer obviously extends to Mums, daughters, school friends, first cousins and any other Nutty Boys! The concert is outdoors but unlike any other festival there is a seated area so younger festival goers can be looked after in a safe environment by their parents.

Artists on the day will appeal to music lovers of all ages. Gates are open at 3.00pm. At 3.30pm Cuban funsters Ozomatli warm proceedings up. Following them is The Stranglers and probably the finest reggae artist on the circuit, Jimmy Cliff. Ocean Colour Scene perform all their hits around 7.30pm and Madness take to the stage at 9.00pm. As the concert finishes at 10.30pm (there are trams and numerous car parks), most people should be home by 11.00pm having given their kids their first magical concert experience.

Tickets cost £30 each and are available from the cricket ground or by calling 0870 405 0445 (booking fee applies). With three of you allowed in on one ticket this has to be the offer of the summer!

Madness will perform a Greatest Hits set and therefore you should start familiarising the kids with Baggy Trousers, Our House, Embarrassment, It Must Be Love, My Girl and all their other great singalongs.

Move, sponsored by Virgin Trains, takes place next week at the cricket ground with Madness headlining Thursday; The Cure, Elbow and Keane on Friday; the Stereophonics and Pixies on Saturday and Morrissey plus the New York Dolls and Beta Band on Sunday. Day tickets are £30 each, or £85 for all four days. The kids offer applies only to Thursday with Madness. The offer applies to current ticket holders and those yet to purchase. You need to ensure any kids around the age of 14 have ID with proof of age.
