Coming from Wrexham, North Wales JKLMNO is a band that has had a very successful past 12 months.

Winning a national competition with Supajam.com led the way to the final 6 months of 2008 being a period in which the band released a single, had a music video created and played alongside the likes of Morrissey and Sigur Ros at the FIB Festival Benicassim 2008. After the festival JKLMNO branched out around the country taking the band to places they have never played before including Birmingham and Swansea. An acoustic tour was planned to promote the single which included dates in the West Midlands, North Wales and North West including a radio session in Manchester.

Regional BBC stations also got interested in the band and airplay on BBC Wales and BBC Shropshire become a regular occurrence with 6music airplay and radio one mentions to follow.

At the end of summer 2008 the band recorded a collection of demos for promotional material to showcase the new material online, as giveaways, the currently being built street team and on their Itunes podcast i JKLMNO. 

Early 2009 and the band want to show no signs of slowing down even though university means over 1000 miles of land would have to be travelled for all of the members to be in the same location. The band have already; had an extended four track session on BBC Shropshire; licensed their music to Steal My Oil Records for a remix of XYZ to go out on Sine Weaver’s album later in the year; been the Windows Media Guide download of the week as well as becoming the ‘BBC Introducing track’ for BBC Shropshire which should net the band more 6music and radio one airtime.

The bands current plans involve recording later in the year with a credited producer, this will then hopefully become the bands first physical release late 2008 early 2009. More gigs for the Easter and Summer period including more radio sessions.
